Kat began singing lessons at 11 after being cast as a “tango dancing fish” in her school play—a twist of fate that sparked a lifelong love of performing. While studying music at Sussex University, she worked with the BREMF Community Choir and made her recording debut on Musica Secreta’s Lucrezia Borgia’s Daughter, later performing on BBC Radio 3. In the Netherlands, Kat earned her Masters at FONTYS and founded ensembles The Wandering Bard and Nymphes & Monstres, creating innovative projects. She also founded The Cauldron, producing musicals and teaching, and is soon debuting her first musical, Nun the Wiser. Kat has sung with ensembles such as The Sixteen, Musica Secreta, Resonet and is a previous member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. She has performed at the Brighton Early Music Festival both as a choral singer and in various operatic roles. She has performed in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, 02 Area, the Muziekgebouw and de Doelen and has sung on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 4 Nederland.

She has established herself as a performer and educator working in the fields of music, theatre, and voice acting. In her performance practice, she focusses on bringing history to life and making it relevant for contemporary audiences. With her ensemble Nymphes et Monstres, she blends historically informed performance practice with acting, movement, and other forms of media to bring the past to life in a socially relevant context. She also releases her own music, played on a mountain dulcimer and occasionally a merlin seagull, unique and interesting sounding folk instruments. She is also a member of the post punk band Sensory Ick.

As an actor, Kat has worked on audiobooks such as the recently release ‘Fall of Ingway’, by Justin Rose, where she performed the role of Mercy, and was the voice of The Technician in the short film ‘Oh What a Beautiful Simulation!’. Kat is an active member of the Dutch Historical Acting Collective.

Kat is also a film director and composer, recently debuting her first award winning short film with co-director Jon Madge; ‘I Give to Thee’. This film has won awards at International Film Fest Germany and New York Film & Actress Awards and was a selected for inclusion in the Tokyo Film & Screenplay Awards, New York Independent Cinema Awards, and Los Angeles Short Film Award. Kat was also the composer and lead actress in this film. Her debut musical ‘Nun the Wiser’ is premiering in the Netherlands in November 2026.

As founder and director of Musical Theatre Company The Cauldron, Kat creates work for theatre performers, and focusses on bringing new commissions to life. She previously was the choral director for the Schola Cantorum at St Pancras Church in Lewes and is now the choral director of Eurokoor Nederland, a pop choir whose mission is to bring countries together through music, and The Cauldron Choir of Amsterdam, an educational choir who perform Showtunes in Amsterdam.

Kat is also an educator, with over a decade’s worth of experience teaching singers to unlock their musicality, and find their voices.
